Dark Comedy:

You're an iconic actress whose filmography is an impeccable one with a long list of films beloved by many, including myself! Out of all the films you've made, are there any that just stick out as being near and dear to you, and why those films?

Dee Wallace

There are four actually: E.T. because it is still changing the world, Cujo because I believe I went as far as I could go as truthfully as I could go there, The Howling because it was done with my fiance, Christopher Stone whom I was married to for 18 years, and Frighteners, because I finished it and did my best in the midst of his tragic death. I was surrounded by Peter [Jackson] and everyone there.

DCP:

People recognize you for the roles you've had in horror films - What is it about the horror genre that keeps you coming back each time?

DW:

I LOVE the ride. I love to play the arcs and let the emotion rip.

DCP:

What inspires you as an actress and as a person?

DW:

Being truthful and in integrity.

DCP:

You run your own website iamdeewallace.com where you offer to talk to people about healing and self-creation, which fascinates me - Can you talk more about that, what it's all about, and what got you started?

DW:

I have always been a clairaudient channel. When Chris died, it went into full blown gifts. I do daily sessions, webinars and have four books out. It is my passion to help people take responsibility for creating themselves.

DCP:

Two films that I know you're in, that are in post-production and I am excited to see are Death House and Ayla - Can you talk about how you were cast in those films and what did you love about those two scripts/films?

DW:

There is a third! Red Christmas. Awesome film I did in Australia last year with Craig Anderson and an amazing cast.  Ayla is a really poetic love story with a weird twist. It was so hauntingly different. I loved it. Death House was for my friend Harrison Smith whom I did Zombie Killers with. She is a character I had never played: a female hitler-esq type. I love the challenges.

DCP:

What intrigued you about the two characters from Death House and Ayla, what made you want to play them?

DW:

The nuances and the challenges of very different roles.

DCP:

Throughout your long successful career as an actress, what is one philosophy that you carry with you through each project?

DW:

Do your best in the most truthful way you can. Every moment is its own.

DCP:

What other projects do you have coming up in the future that you can talk about?

DW:

I am shooting a series for Amazon Prime right now entitled Just Add Magic. I also have a beautiful short called Charlie's Last Gift where I am aged to 80. Such a beautiful piece. I am also celebrating all my daughter's successes, Gabrielle Stone. Very proud of the actress and woman she has become.
