It's quite agonizing to try and talk about such a cleverly and tightly crafted little story that has been given a short running time. It'll be a challenge but here goes nothing. Frank is a man who has reached the end of his tether. He's really the only friend he's got in his little world of misplaced paranoia. Which is dangerous ground for him to explore when it involves a loved one! And you know what, now I'M on dangerous ground of giving too much away. However I will say this: Damon Rickard and the team that brought you such other smart, chilling shorts such The Tour, The Package, and Rats, they have certainly made their mark in taking a look into some dark psychological territory! There is some fantastic tense camera work by Guy Pearson! And how could one talk about Indie Film Scores, espcially in the dark horror genre and not even mention the talent and skill of the one and only Eric Elick, who has provided this 5 minute short with just the right amount of auditory tension that only adds to what's already been perfectly represented in camera work and editing! Dissociative is a dark 5 minute mind-bending psychological ride into madness and paranoia! Keep your eyes peeled!
